Parish Directory 2008

The ability of a church to communicate with its members to exchange information is an essential part of organization. We would like to continue our ability to communicate and would like to “upgrade” the quality of our information. The first natural outgrowth of this effort will be a new Parish Directory!  I thought that there was no change in my personal information since I had not changed residences, but then I was reminded that I had changed e-mail addresses and that my wife had her own new e-mail address. My point is that those changes are so subtle that we forget that they have happened! Cell phones, e-mail addresses, children that leave the nest (I’m going to sound like “Fiddler on the Roof”!)

Please fill out the inserted form completely and give us your most current, up-to-date information. We, of course, will not share this information with any individual or business. We use it only to communicate with you. You may drop the form in one of the blue boxes in the North and South Entrances, or the center Narthex to the church. You may also fax, email, or mail the form to the church office. Thank you for your time and patience in filling this form out and waiting for an updated Parish Directory.

Christian Formation for Adults

Sundays at 9:20 am (Kinloch Room)

Classes for Adults

Anyone who loves children does not want to miss this class.

Parents, grandparents, Godparents, uncles, aunts, or anyone who ever has any contact with children, come and join us for Visionary Parenting. We’ll be gathering in the Youth Room which is one floor up from the Kinloch Room. This practical and Biblical teaching gives us all a fresh perspective on our role as those whom God uses to impress the hearts of our children. This class will run for eight weeks.

Furnace Room of Prayer

The Furnace Room of Prayer is held every Sunday morning in the bell tower from 9:20-10:20 before the 10:30 am church service. It’s purpose is to pray God’s favor on our worship, musicians and choirs, children and teachers in Sunday School, the preacher assigned for that day, suffering around the world, and all members of the parish. We would love your heart felt participation! If you would like to be involved, contact the church office, 723-0603.

Alpha!

Wondering about the true meaning of life? Bring your questions and come to Alpha.  Come on Tuesday evenings at 6:15 for supper, a presentation and fascinating conversation on the most vital topics of life today!  Click HERE for the Alpha Schedule!   Be a part of Alpha! Questions? call 723-0603 or E-mail reception@stmichaelschurch.net.

Dessert and Discovery!

Get to know Al and Elizabeth Zadig in an intimate conversation to reflect on St. Michael’s, past, present and future.  Dubbed Dessert and Discovery (D and D), these events will be hosted, starting again in January, for 20-25 people to facilitate in-depth conversation.  Whether you are a member, friend, or visitor to St. Michael’s you are welcome to all 723-0603 to reserve your space and date at a D and D.

Small Groups

There are many varied opportunities to get involved in small Bible Study, prayer and sharing groups -- some meeting at St. Michaels, others hosted by St. Michaelites in their homes.  There are groups for any walk of life:  men, women, young people, young marrieds, parents, couples, young mothers, etc. etc.  If you'd like to get involved, contact Bob Lawrence, and he can point you in the right direction.
