People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and to make new friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raise during the talks.

The course is free. Supper is provided and will be followed by an entertaining and informative videotape presentation, music and a group discussion that provides ample opportunity to ask questions and express opinions. Midway through the course, all the groups will gather for a “Weekend Away” session, and they'll assemble again at the end of the course for a celebration dinner.

Alpha is open to anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. It originated from the church, "Holy Trinity Brompton" in London over 30 years ago. Alpha is basically, "dinner and a movie."  Alpha is a mid-week study that runs for 12 weeks, which answers questions about Christianity in a non-threatening atmosphere. It's lite, casual, and fun; with free childcare and a wonderful supper. Alpha has been a great success throughout the world...in 165 countries, within 2,200 different denominations, and over 6.5 million people have taken the course.

We look forward to seeing you at any of the other Alpha dates this Fall in the Kinloch Room of the Belser Building at 14 St. Michael's Alley.

What if I've already taken the APLHA course?

There are many, many small group studies available at St. Michael’s Church, for virtually any interest and need. We offer an Inquirers’ Class for those who are interested in joining St. Michael’s Church.

Most importantly, there exists a need for ALPHA Alumni to help with the Spring 2008 Season.  Please contact Peet Dickinson or Tyson Nettles for more information.

There are small group Bible studies for men and for women, for “mommies”, for young singles, for those interested in healing ministries, parenting and marriage classes, and much more! Groups meet at the Church, in homes, and even in work places at various times throughout the week to accommodate individual schedules.
