Transforming Families? Connecting Spiritually Through Different Life Stages

Don’t miss the first Transforming Families seminar offered at St. Michael’s Church on Saturday, May 3rd from 6 – 8 pm. Transforming Families is an opportunity to gather as a body of adults who are concerned for our children and youth for a time of worship, teaching and fellowship. Breakout sessions will be offered according to the different life stages of the children in your life.

Who should attend? Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents… in short, anyone who has a young one in their life! Our speaker for the evening is our very own, Peter Rothermel, who served as the Youth Minister for several years and is now working for the diocese to help equip those who minister to families. The encouragement and information you will gather from this time together will be invaluable as you strive to impact your family with the love of Christ.

        Please email amy@stmichaelschurch.net or call

723-0603 ext. 7583 /7580 to reserve your spot now.

Childcare will be available – please reserve in advance.

First Communion Course Announced

Parents, has your child been asking when he or she may begin taking communion? Did your older child miss a previous teaching on communion? Do you feel like they (or you) need a refresher? We invite all children and their parents who are ready to take their first communion (2nd graders and older are suggested) to join St. Michael’s First Communion Course. Please plan on attending these important events to participate:

· Parents attend a special parent’s teaching and information session on

Saturday, May 3 from 6-8 pm at St. Michael’s as part of the Transforming Families seminar.

· Parents and their child(ren) attend a Saturday morning retreat on May 10th (9 am – 12 pm).

· Children take their first communion with their parents on Sunday, May 18th at the 10:30 am service.

This is such an exciting milestone in a child’s spiritual journey. We pray that you and your child will treasure this opportunity to connect with one another and with our Lord and Savior. Please call Amy to reserve your spot or to ask questions at 723-0603 or by email at amy@stmichaelschurch.net.
