Doug Born - Missionary to Charleston

Meet our Missionary to Charleston - Douglas Born
Doug Born has been a regular at the 6:00 pm Service at St. Michael’s Church for a couple of years now. He is most often recognized by his “proper English accent” and his “thought provoking T-shirts”. Doug was born in England and grew up in London in a family of six boys and three girls. Doug has a son, Ricardo, and a daughter-in-law, Beatrice, who live in Switzerland with their two sons, Alex and Anais.

Doug spent two years at a Bible-based missionary training college in England called “All Nations” (this is the same school that Simon Guillebaud attended). Four years ago, Doug left Israel, where he was a missionary, and came to the United States. Since then, he has worked in San Diego, the Harlem section of New York City, and Charleston. His calling is the homeless and poor. He continues this work under the organizational umbrella of Celebration Station in North Charleston and St. Michael’s Church in Charleston. Doug can be reached by telephone at 843 568 1308 or by e-mail at mmljohn@yahoo.com. (Please no Text Messages)
