Alpha Opening Night

The last week in January marked the kick off for our Spring Alpha courses.  What an amazing week!

Tuesday, January 31st the Kinloch Room was transformed into a lovely reception hall:  gorgeous flowers, amazing food, smiling faces and the warmth of God’s love.  Over 100 people attended the reception followed by a presentation in the Chapel.  And 90% of those attending signed up to continue the course.  Wow!

Wednesday, February 1st was Opening Lunch for Alpha in The Workplace at The Carolina Yacht Club.  We hosted 20 men and women for lunch and a live talk by Rev. Al Zadig on “Who is Jesus?”   The second week saw even more new attendees.  This course is shaping up to be a powerful one.

This spring we offered two new times for Alpha – Friday mornings and Sunday afternoons.  Unfortunately, there was little requests for the Friday morning option and we were forced to cancel that course.  Sunday afternoons was the time preferred by most.   And I am thrilled to announce that course is full!  I do hope to offer a Friday morning course at a later date.

Currently we are working on putting together an Alpha course (or two) for the summer to help bridge the gap between our Spring and Fall courses.  To put on an Alpha course takes time, effort, dedication and prayer.  If you are interested in helping in any way, please contact Rhonda Myers at 724-7567 or rhonda@stmichaelschurch.net.

Thank you for your continued support of this ministry!
