By now you have heard about Alpha.  You probably even know we’ve been doing Alpha for 16 years.  But did you know that we help other churches get Alpha up and running?

Last December we sent a team of people (Al Zadig, Capers Barr and Burwell Boykin) to St. Matthew’s Church in Darlington, SC at the request of their rector the Rev. Andrew O’Dell to help train and encourage an Alpha Team.  Al, Capers and Burwell each had an opportunity to share with the congregation in Darlington how Alpha has impacted their lives, personally, as well as, the life of St. Michael’s Church.  Needless to say this inspirational team was just what the Rev. O’Dell and his parishioners needed.  The St. Matthew’s congregation has gotten behind the Alpha course and invited friends and family to “come and see.”  Their first offering of the course this spring has been larger than anyone expected.  Their average weekly attendance is 100 strong!  The Rev. Andrew O’Dell has asked for our continued prayers for their Alpha course and especially for their Alpha Weekend (February 25th).  Praise God!

The church in Darlington is just the beginning…
