There will be an information meeting in Kinloch Room, Sunday, April 22 at 4:00 pm for everyone interested in joining the Ninth Healing Mission to Ukraine. The meeting is for former team members and first time Short-Term Missioners. Applications will be available. This is the first Hungering World mission to be commissioned following the February 2012 Global Impact Celebration. As in past missions, team members are responsible to pay for their airline tickets. And they will be recruiting intercessors whose prayers precede the team into Ukrainian Villages. Pastor Peter has issued the invitation for September 27-October 7. Who will go? Is God calling you?

Why a Medical Fund for Ukraine?
During our eight Healing Missions to Ukraine, we have witnessed many physical and spiritual miracles of God. As we built relationships and saw beyond the facades of everyday living, we established three financial banks for food, medicine/medical assistance, and firewood for heat and cooking. We set up a fourth bank which is a Discretionary Fund administered by Pastor Peter to provide assistance for various emergencies. For example, we were present when a poor peasant woman attended a Sunday worship service with a very large burn on her arm. She could not afford medical care that was available only at a hospital. Pastor Peter was able to give her the money to pay for supplies, medicines and the hospital charges. (from monies donated to the Healing Mission) While in hospital the patient’s family must furnish linens, food, and meet other needs that we take for granted when we are in hospital in the States. I wish everyone could have seen the relief and gratitude on the woman and her family’s faces. She was then taken to the hospital in one of our team vans.
Thank you St. Michael’s for your generosity to missions at home and abroad.
