We had a blast at the beach. Where there is sand, there is fun. This event was well worth it. We arrived at 3pm to set up, it was an adventure. The Carr family was gracious enough to allow us to use their beach home for restroom breaks and cover (just incase the weather went wrong). We arrived and parked and started to unload. After flexing our muscles lifting heavy coolers and trying to get beach umbrellas to stay (it was a windy day and I ended up chasing the umbrella many times). We set out to start having fun. We had two families come to join us at the start and they brought their boogie boards. After chasing the waves for a while, a life group came out to join the fun. They were prepared for the weather and the sun, as they put up a canopy. The families departed and the life group stayed. As the hours went by more families came to join us including the Zadig family. A game of football broke out and so did wonderful homemade chicken sandwiches with watermelon. As the sun started to close our time together we ended with a prayer and started to clean up. This event was a great time for opening up conversations, getting to know each person better, making new lasting friendships and having a great time in fellowship.
