Well, we ran out of food almost before it started! We decided to add this year some family friendly elements to Holy Week. When I say family friendly I don’t just mean child friendly. When I say family friendly I mean an event that will bless the entire spiritual family young and old alike. So, we began with dinner (Thank you David and Karen Fine Life Group!) then to commemorate the first Eucharist, we had an instructed Eucharist in the Chapel to a packed out crowd! Then into the church for the sounds of the Organ and Choir as we stripped the Sanctuary. My lasting memory will be all of those children in the bride’s pew whose eyes were fixed on the altar and the elements being stripped out (symbolizing the stripping and betrayal of our Lord). Having so many children attend Holy Week is a first and something we will build on for next year.
