Parish Retreat at Kanuga

Living in a Culture of Worship

Speakers: Al Zadig & Eric Wyse

Who is worship for – me, us, or God?

What did Jesus mean when he said to worship in “spirit and in truth”?
Worship isn’t just for Sundays anymore!
Why do we worship?
How do we worship?
How should worship transform our hearts?
Is worship just about the singing?
What if we don’t like to sing?
What impact should worship have on our lives?

Who is Eric Wyse?
A native of Brattleboro Vermont, Eric is an accomplished organist, songwriter, church musician, and record producer. Eric has worked with a variety of artists, including The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, CeCe Winans, and Amy Grant. With noted conductor John Rutter, he produced a critically acclaimed London recording of Handel’s Messiah featuring The Cambridge Singers & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Eric was the editor of The Christian Life Hymnal, published in 2006, and many of his original hymns appear in other hymnals. Eric is married to Dawn and they have two children enrolled in college. Eric will officially begin his ministry at St. Michael’s on September 1, 2013.
