A group of eight women, who live east of the Cooper River, make up the Hobcaw Bible Study. Our main purpose is to study the word of God, and to grow spiritually as we discern His purpose for our lives and to rearrange our priorities accordingly. We support and pray for each other in difficult times, as well as the good times, we travel together, and make sure that everyone has a place to go on special occasions, like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
As a group we are now getting involved with volunteering at Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy with the Survivor-Follow-Up ministry. Some of our members will support with prayer, and some will be involved in visits to family members who have suffered a tragic and unexpected loss. This summer, we will cook and serve dinner together at the women and family shelter at the Crisis Ministries, another way we feel we can be of service as a group to the community.
