Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing that, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
– Hebrews 13:2 NRSV
Hospitality plays a key role in the life of St. Michael’s Church. The events are designed to bring our congregation together at various church wide functions during the year enabling members to fellowship, become involved and stay connected to the church.
A few examples of our Church wide events include receptions for Bishop Lawrence and the Confirmands, Ordinations for Clergy, and serving during coffee hour on Sunday mornings. During the seasons of Advent and Lent, following the 7:00 am Tuesday service we host a breakfast. We also help with the Christmas Rectory Drop In.
No special talent is needed, except a warm heart and a friendly smile.
The time commitment is small. Hosting or helping with any event is a great way to get to know people and give time to St. Michael’s Church. If you have any questions, want more information, or want to volunteer, contact Jeanine Branham at firstname.lastname@example.org
