Welcome David! David came to us from Roper Hospital where he was working in their Clinical Pastoral Education ministry. You can read all about David and Caity and their joint education at the Trinity School for Ministry. But let me say that only God could have arranged the Boomans being in the right place at the right time! You might remember that the Rev. Charlie and Ann Baldwin ended up at St. Michael’s simply because they were searching for a church home. Once here, I met them at coffee hour and one thing led to another and he became my Assistant for Pastoral Care and what a great job Charlie did! Upon his retirement we had the big task of filling his shoes. Amazingly a very similar scenario developed. David and Caity were church shopping, I happened to meet them in coffee hour, and once again, one thing led to another and David is not only now my Assistant for Pastoral Care and Healing but Caity because of her skills, including a degree in graphic arts will be able to give us a deeper bench in supporting communications. I pray you will get to know the Boomans, as they are a wonderful, pastoral and grace-filled couple!
