Water Mission Tour and Refugee Journey Empathy Experience* Saturday, January 24, 2026, 9:00 – 11:00am Water Mission Headquarters 1150 Molly Greene Way, Building 1605 Join us in North Charleston, as we tour the headquarters of our mission partner, Water Mission, and learn more about the global water crisis. Every day 2 million people go without clean, safe water to drink, cook and bathe. We will learn in a hands-on way what it means to walk miles to gather the water a family needs for that day, as well as the ways that Water Mission is changing the lives of millions around the world with its water purification system. We will also participate in their refugee empathy experience, helping us understand what it is like to be a refugee and how Water Mission helps with disaster relief. Diaper Drive benefiting Lowcountry Pregnancy Center Sunday, January 25 - Sunday, February 1, 2026 Support our Holy City mission partner, the Lowcountry Pregnancy Center, by providing essential supplies for unplanned pregnancies. Diapers and wipes of all sizes are welcome! The Lowcountry Pregnancy Center offers pregnancy testing, nurse consult, options consult and medical referrals for those facing unplanned pregnancies, as well as sexual health services and classes and resources to prepare for baby and parenting. Please leave any donations in the narthex!
Carlos Campo Sunday, January 25, 2026 (8:00am, 9:00am & 11:00am) St. Michael’s Sanctuary 71 Broad Street Join us for the official kick-off to the GIC with Carlos Campo, Ph.D., the CEO of the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC. He is the vice chair of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, where he works to improve educational outcomes for Hispanic students. He has previously served as the president of Ashland University (2015 to 2024) and Regent University. Dr. Campo founded - and is a featured speaker at - the annual Hispanic Education Alliance Summits, where he advocates for and works with national leaders in immigration reform and serves as national spokesperson for educational issues within the Hispanic community. Dr. Campo was one of Crain’s Cleveland “45 Notable Latino Leaders” in 2023, and has been recognized as “Educator of the Year” and “Outstanding Educator” by local and national organizations. He was also named “Alumnus of the Year” by the UNLV College of Liberal Arts in 2016. Dr. Campo has received honorary doctorates from the University of Vienna and Taylor University. He has been married to his wife Karen for 44 years, and they have three children and three grandchildren.
GIC 2026 Banquet** Tuesday, January 27, 2026, 5:30pm South Carolina Society Hall 72 Meeting Street Please join us for a joy-filled evening at Society Hall as we celebrate missions at St. Michael’s! We will start the evening with a cocktail hour followed by a seated dinner and our featured speaker, Jack Easterby. Jack Easterby is a Columbia, South Carolina native and a graduate of Newberry College. He served as the team chaplain for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2011-2012 and as the Director of Team Development and Character Coach for the New England Patriots, where he was a part of winning Super Bowls 49, 51, and 53. Most recently Jack oversaw the reset of the Houston Texans as their Executive VP of Football Operations from 2019-2022. He has also served as a consultant for multiple NBA teams and Olympic teams and has mentored numerous PGA tour players on their journeys. He founded The Greatest Champion Foundation in 2011, where he continues to serve as the chair. Jack and his wife, Holly, have two daughters and currently live in Charlotte, NC. We will also be offering a raffle for the priceless opportunity to reserve the pew of your choice for one service. Super Wednesday with Marina Shtykh

A long time friend of St. Michael’s church, Marina Shtykh will be joining us from Zhytomyr, Ukraine, where her organization, Hope for Everyone, has run a home for the elderly and disabled since 2017. Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, Hope for Everyone has also taken in the war displaced and been providing charitable assistance in the form of food kits and hygiene products to widows, orphans and this disabled in the surrounding communities of Kurne, Dovbysh, and Pulyny.
Over the years, St. Michael’s has sent nine mission teams to the Ukraine and supported Marina’s ministry financially. You may have met her on previous visits! Marina will share how her ministry continues today under the most challenging circumstances.
Sandra McCracken Concert** Thursday, January 29, 2026, 7:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm) St. Michael’s Sanctuary 71 Broad Street Please join St. Michael’s Church us for a night of praise and worship with a concert by Grammy-nominated Sandra McCracken! We are thrilled to welcome this Dove Award winning singer-songwriter, author and creative leader to the GIC as we celebrate using our talents for mission at St. Michael’s. Based in Nashville, Sandra is one of the most prominent voices in modern hymnody and gospel-roots music; she is known for blending Americana, folk and sacred tradition into songs that are both deeply personal and spiritually resonant. Her songs, including “We Will Feast in the House of Zion” and “Steadfast,” are sung in churches worldwide. We anticipate that tickets will sell out quickly for what is sure to be a beautiful and special evening in our historic sanctuary! Limited tickets are available for $35 through December. Habitat for Humanity* Saturday, January 31, 2026 (12:30pm-3:30pm) 4739 Mint Avenue North Charleston, South Carolina Register to join us as we volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for a build in North Charleston! We do not have to leave town to go on mission; we can be the hands of Christ at work in our own community! This opportunity is available to church members 16 and up (accompanied by an adult), and we encourage all volunteers to purchase a GIC shirt to wear while on site to promote team building and to be walking billboards for spreading the gospel. Registration is required!
Dan Wolf Sunday, February 1, 2026 (8:00am, 9:00am & 11:00am) St. Michael’s Sanctuary 71 Broad Street Dan Wolf is the senior pastor of Rise Church in downtown Portland, Maine. He grew up on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina and came to faith on a mission trip with the Church of the Holy Cross at 15. This adolescent experience led him to pastor youth for 7 years in Columbia, South Carolina at the Church of the Apostles. During this time, he studied philosophy at University of South Carolina and received his Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Dan went on to serve as the associate pastor of an Anglican church in Jacksonville, Florida for six years until he and his wife, Carrie, moved to plant a church in Portland in the summer of 2020. Maine is home to the second-most post Christian community in the country, and it is by God's grace that Rise Church is now a growing, healthy church in the heart of downtown Portland. Dan has been married to the love of his life and best friend, Carrie, for 15 years; they cherish many adventures with their children: Coen (8), Imogen (6) and Phoebe (3). In his free time, Dan loves exploring coastal Maine in their old Boston Whaler. Please join us immediately following the 11:00 service for lunch with the congregation in the Kinloch Room, as we celebrate the end of the 2026 Global Impact Celebration and the 275th anniversary of St. Michael’s Church!

GIC T-Shirt Support missions at St. Michael’s and promote the GIC with a Heather Indigo Gildan Softstyle t-shirt! Wear your shirt while you serve on missions - or use your shirt to start a conversation about mission or St. Michael’s! We invite you to celebrate our mission partners in the Holy City, the Hurting Coast and the Hungering World by proudly wearing your shirt! We also encourage all volunteers for our GIC Habitat for Humanity build to purchase a shirt to wear while on site, so that all those we encounter will know that we are the hands of Christ at work in our community. Please pre-order your shirts by January 10th in order to ensure you receive your desired size. Youth size T Shirts, (YXS - YXL) can be ordered by request, please email marymacmcfadden@gmail.com. Shirts will be available before the 9:00am and 11:00am services on January 25, or available to pick-up at the church office. A limited number of shirts will be available for purchase the week of GIC, but we cannot guarantee sizes!
GIC Raffle Support our mission partners and win a reserved pew! We’re excited to offer a special raffle to benefit our missionaries and the incredible work they do around the world. Raffle tickets are $50 each and are available now through the evening of the Global Impact Celebration Banquet on January 27. The winning ticket will be drawn live during the banquet.
