MINISTRY FOCUS
- Church of the Resurrection is a missional Anglican church on Capitol Hill, with the highest density of young adults (25-35) in the US.
- They focus on reaching the lost, discipling the faithful, raising up new leaders, planting new congregations and embodying the Gospel through hospitality, mercy and love of neighbor.
- The church is partnering with others on free legal clinics, prisoner reentry, homeless care, after-school tutoring and pro-life baby and family care.
- Discipleship follows the time-tested combination of the Creed, the Decalogue and the Lord’s Prayer. We bring the Gospel to bear on many contemporary social issues.
- They have a vibrant ministry with (Muslim) Syrian refugees. Many attend various events and services and are hearing about Jesus regularly.
- Pastoral internships and residencies are leveraged and are designed to help future ministers learn how to engage in faithful, sustainable Gospel ministry in church planting contexts.
- Dan and Elise Claire participated in GIC 2020 and several St. Michaelites have visited them in DC.
- St. Michael’s supports Church of the Resurrection with prayer and information.
