The countdown begins!  Advent marks that 4 week countdown to Christmas.  A season invented by the church to help us reverently prepare both for the birth of Jesus Christ and His second coming.  So, to live into this season, this sermon will work side by side with your Advent Devotional that you can pick up today, along with your Advent Wreath.  Yes, today’s sermon will serve as the foundation piece, so that when you light your wreath tomorrow morning, and begin your Advent devotional, it will all make sense, as together we obey the commandment of Jesus who today tells us in Matthew to prepare by keeping WATCH.
