Caleb, the Minority Report, and Pentecost
Preacher: The Rev. Alfred T.K. Zadig, Jr. Series: Summer Lectionary Scripture: John 14:15–21, Numbers 14:6–12, Numbers 14:24
Welcome to Pentecost, the day we celebrate the power of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church! Therefore it is a great day to have our annual meeting and picnic to celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit through St. Michael’s and the impact we are making on the world. Specifically we will use the symbolism of Caleb who teaches that the Holy Spirit was very much alive in the Old Testament. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Caleb issues a minority report that would actually change his life, and one that is capable of changing ours as well. Stay tuned.
