REDEMPTION AND RELEASE
Preacher: The Rev. Alfred T.K. Zadig, Jr. Series: Summer Lectionary Scripture: Ephesians 1:1– :14, Mark 6:7– :13
What comes to mind when you think of the word release? Perhaps that sound when you release the parking brake of your car? Or less tangibly when you released that person who hurt you those years ago? There is a joy to the word release that started when Christ released and forgave us for our sin. Today as we enter the midpoint of summer, think of those in your life needing release. As you ponder, who can forget the words of that Hymn: "O Zion Haste"...and that wonderful refrain: "Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace; Tidings of Jesus, REDEMPTION AND RELEASE."
