MINISTRY FOCUS
- The Anglican Leadership Institute (ALI) was founded by the Diocese of South Carolina, The Rt. Rev. Bishop Mark Lawrence, and The Very Rev Dr Peter Moore former President of Trinity Seminary and former Scholar in Residence at St. Michael’s Church.
- The ALI mission is to guide and shape future Anglican leaders from around the world toward their full potential.
- ALI offers men and women with a proven track of ministry a chance to spend a month in community under the guidance of expert leaders who have exercised faithful and effective ministry in their own contexts.
- Together, they explore issues of poverty, freedom, persecution and faith in the modern world. Participants attend lectures on leadership, dig into case studies addressing situations like “human trafficking” and “honor killings,” and learn about the causes of poverty and what can be done about it.
- St. Michael’s has supported ALI from its beginnings with funding, speakers, hospitality, prayer and many volunteers.
