Welcome to St. Michael's Family Ministry!  It is great to see your interest in how God can enrich your family through a deeper understanding of Him.  You might be curious about what sets Family Ministry apart from other ministries.  Family Ministry is intergenerational and focuses on nurturing the spiritual growth of families and passing the faith on through the generations. We aim to provide resources, support and community for families to grow closer to God and each other.  For more information, feel free to reach out to our Director of Family Ministry, Dee Goehring at dee@stmichaelschurch.net.

First Communion Class

First Communion Class is held twice a year in March and October on a Saturday at 10:00 am in the Church Sanctuary. One of our clergy will teach us about Holy Communion, including such questions as: What is Holy Communion? Why do we need to receive it? Am I ready to receive my First Communion? Each child will then be asked if they are ready to receive this Holy Sacrament. The children will receive their first communion together the next day, Sunday, at the 9:00 am service.

Children's Ministry

We, at St. Michael’s, believe that the best teachers for our children are the faith-driven parents. In this family led ministry, parents find that they have the greatest amount of time and the unique ability to really impact their child’s faith. Our goal, is to provide opportunities and materials to help enhance these learning moments that families share together. The Children’s Ministry is dedicated to honoring and encouraging families in their walk with Christ.
