Kara was born and raised in Maryland. She graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Business. While attending ORU, she met Dalton, her husband of 37 years. They have two children, Kelsey and Davis, six grandchildren and one cute Corgi named Stryker. After Dalton’s retirement from the Air Force in 2016, God led them to Charleston, where he is a faculty member at the MUSC College of Dental Medicine. Kara loves the history of Charleston and both she and Dalton consider it their adopted hometown. As a military spouse for 28 years, Kara has enjoyed living in Germany and all over the United States. She has had many jobs, but her most rewarding has been raising their 2 children and being a preschool teacher. Kara is very excited to follow God’s leading and to be a part of the St. Michael’s Family Ministry team.
