Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:1–13

Today we come to our fall preaching series on the life of King David!  This morning we will zoom in on how David was called, with those words echoing in our minds:  “For the Lord sees not as man sees;  man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart…”  So, while we revere David as a shepherd, we realize we are called to be a shepherd too, our families, our community and right here at church.
